A Correction and More Thoughts on the 50th Year Jubilee

In my last email I stated, “The 49th year and the Jubilee year are one and the same year, according to all the Scriptures and historical evidence.” I correct this sentence to read, “The 49th year and the Jubilee year are one and the same year, according to the Jericho metaphor’s Scriptural evidence.”
According to Lev. 25, there is no “eighth time” trumpet, the Jubilee trumpet is sounded during the 49th year, so that was not really a fair illustration that I shared in my email. It does appear that the Jordan River Crossing year is evidence of a Jubilee year, like you state in your studies. Logically, for the year of the Jordan River crossing to be a Jubilee year, you would have to start that Jubilee Cycle 8 or 9 years before the Exodus, since the river crossing occurred in the 41st year of the Exodus (Miriam – Num. 20:1, Aaron – Num. 33:38-39, and Moses – Deut. 1:3, all having died in the 40th year), and that’s just hard for my head to wrap around!! But it seems that both the year of the Exodus and the Jordan River Crossing are years of release. Does Yahweh reserve the right to declare any year He wants a Jubilee? Possibly. Or He may be using several different divine calendars, which there is evidence of in some chronologist’s studies. Yeshua’s return will be a Jubilee year, so we will know for certain that year.
Also, for the Jericho metaphor to be seen as evidence of a 50th year Jubilee, wouldn’t Rahab and her family have to be rescued the day AFTER Jericho was torched on the 7th day, instead of RIGHT ON the 7th day? Hmm. But as you state, the year of the Jordan River crossing is seen to be a return of the rightful landowners to their land, purchased by their forefathers!! That is solid evidence of the Jubilee Year! But was the 41st year of the Exodus a 49th or 50th year Jubilee? I believe Joshua 6 hints at a 49th year Jubilee.
Oh yeah, kudos on the Lunar Sabbath correction. I’ll have to share that with some of my errant friends. Good revelation and counting.
