A Simple Rapture Revelation
I was reading a Pastor F.M. Riley’s letter responding to someone who keeps emailing him about there not being such a thing as the pre-tribulation rapture. I’ve been leaning that way also, since joining the ranks of the Messianic movement about 10 years ago. I was going to ask this experienced student of the Bible and pastor how he would respond to 1 Corinthians 15:51-52, “Behold, I speak a mystery to you: We shall not all fall asleep, but we shall all be changed. 52In a moment, in the blinking of an eye, at the last trumpet; for a trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised incorruptible, and we shall all be changed.” My question has been, How can the LAST trumpet at the rapture occur BEFORE any of the Revelation trumpets? No one I ask can answer this question for me from the Scriptures. This is how I have been crushing the rapture debaters for the last couple years. But. . .I was sitting at my computer early this morning contemplating how to ask Pastor Riley this question, when the Holy Spirit whispered a succinct answer into my mind, “The last shall be first and the first shall be last.” Wow, I was dumbfounded, awestruck, humbled. I don’t have to ask Pastor Riley to give me a chapter and verse, Yahweh gave me a direct answer!!
Matthew 20:16 HRB “So the last shall be first, and the first last; for many are called, but few chosen.”
Mark 10:31 HRB “But many first shall be last, and the last shall be first.”
Mark 9:35 HRB “And sitting, He called the Twelve and said to them, If anyone desires to be first, he shall be last of all and servant of all.”
This is a simple Kingdom principle. The Holy Spirit just told me it applies to 1 Corinthians 15:51-52. Whatever you say, Master! I’m ready for the rapture, are you?
