Habakkuk’s Vision Relates to Ezekiel’s Vision

Hello Pastor Riley,

Thanks for your studies. Always enjoy them. In your Lights of Home study, you stated, “I would add that a great many of the “signs” predicted in God’s Word for the end of this age, which were to precede the coming of the Lord, were also occurring in 1987 and 1988.” I was wondering if you had ever considered why end time events were happening in those two particular years? Let me offer a piece of the puzzle. 1987-1988 was a sabbatical year, according to the Prophet Ezekiel’s Jubilee cycle, that he identified in Ezekiel 40:1, “In the twenty fifth year of our exile, in the beginning of the year (Rash Hashanah), in the tenth of the month, in the fourteenth year after the city was struck, on that same day the hand of Yahovah was on me, and He brought me there.” That verse is the only place in the Bible where the Hebrew term Rosh Hashanah is used. Rosh Hashanah, or Feast of Trumpets, or Yom Teruah, is always on the 1st of Tishri, but notice Ezekiel declared it was on the 10th of Tishri, Yom Kippur. The only time when Rosh Hashanah is on the 10th of Tishri is on a Jubilee Year!! This is the only place in the Scriptures where a Jubilee year is identified. According to the great chronological work of Dr. Earnest Martin, Ezekiel’s Jubilee year was determined to be in 576 BC, Jewish year 3186. Dr. Martin convincingly proved his sabbatical years, like the year Yeshua was baptized in the fall of 27 CE, at the beginning of another sabbatical year, the 15th year of Tiberius Caesar, during Yeshua’s 30th year, Jewish year 3788, exactly 86 Sabbatical years from Ezekiel’s Jubilee! Also, with the destruction of the Hebrew Temple in 70 AD, during the summer of Jewish year 3830, exactly 92 sabbatical years from Ezekiel’s Jubilee! So, the summer of 1988 was during a Sabbatical year, the Jewish year of 5748, exactly 366 Sabbatical years from Ezekiel’s Jubilee year!!

We can do this with our AD years also. 1988 – 70 AD = 1918 years / 7 = 274 Sabbatical cycles, exactly. More exciting is with the sabbatical year per Dr. Martin’s calendar, which will begin this fall of 2015. So, the summer of 2016 AD – the summer of 28 AD, the first year of Yeshua’s ministry = 1,988 years / 7 = 284 Sabbatical cycles! Did you catch the 1988 years?

According to the modern Jews, we’re in a Sabbatical year now, which will end this fall, but according to the ancient Jew, Prophet Ezekiel, the Sabbatical year will BEGIN this fall! Watch out world, is all I can say. And for the record, the sabbatical cycle that begins in the fall of 2016, ends with a JUBILEE YEAR, that should be declared on Yom Kippur on the 10th of Tishri in the fall of 2022 AD, exactly 371 sabbatical cycles after Ezekiel’s Jubilee in 576 BC. Jewish year 5783 – Ezekiel’s Jubilee year 3186 = 2597 / 7 = 371 sabbatical cycles, or 53 Jubilee cycles.

Rabbi Jonathan Cahn has shown that Yahovah may be judging the American and world economy according to the Jewish calendar, but the Jews are only 1 year ahead of Ezekiel’s Jubilee calendar. Yahovah may be trying to get the attention of humans by using a calendar that is familiar to many people on this planet. I don’t think it will make much difference to us whether or not our economy goes down at the END of the Jewish Shemitah year, or at the BEGINNING of Ezekiel’s Shemitah year!! Judgment Day is coming, according to either calendar!!

Two more points to mention about your Habakkuk study.

1 – The Feasts belong to Yahovah, not the Jews: Leviticus 23:2, “Speak to the sons of Israel, and you shall say to them, The set feasts of Yahovah which you shall proclaim as holy gatherings, shall be these: These are My appointed feasts:” Ezekiel 44:24, “And in a dispute, they shall stand to judge, they shall judge it by My judgments. And they shall observe My Torah and My statutes in My appointed feasts, and they shall sanctify My Sabbaths.”

2 – Hebrews 10:36-39 is talking about the Yeshua Advent 2.0, Yeshua’s second coming, not a rapture, or pre-tribulation rapture.

Love ya brother, Gene Benjamin II
