Let’s start today with the 3rd Commandment, where we should start with Yahuwah’s name. Exodus 20:7, “You must not take the name of me, Yahuwah your Almighty, in vain (as in oath taking), for I will not hold guiltless anyone who takes my name in vain (as in becoming a child of Yahuwah then forsaking Him).” We want to join Yahuwah’s family, we want to marry Yahuwah, but we don’t ever want to be unfaithful to him and we certainly don’t ever want him to divorce us!!
Know His name:
Proverbs 30:4, “Who has gone up to heaven and come down? Who has gathered up the wind in the hollow of his hands? Who has gathered up the waters in a cloak? Who has established all the ends of the earth? What is his name, and what is the name of his Son? Surely you know!”
Psalm 91:14-15, “Because his soul delights in me, I will rescue him. I will protect him on high, because he has known my name. 15When he calls to me, I will answer him. I will be with him in trouble; I will give him victory and will honor him.”
Bless His name:
Psalm 103:1, “I give praise to Yahuwah with all my life, and with all that is within me, I give praise to his set-apart name.”

Psalm 72:17, “May his name endure forever; may his name continue as long as the sun; may people be blessed in him; may all ethno-linguistic nations call him blessed.”
Sing to His name:
Psalm 92:1, “It is a good thing to give thanks to Yahuwah and to sing praises to your name, Most High.”
Isaiah 42:10, “Sing to Yahuwah a new song, and his praise from the end of the earth; you who go down to the sea, and all that is in it, the coastlands, and those who live there.”
Sing Psalm 110-119 and 132.
Praise His name:
Isaiah 25:1, “Yahuwah, you are my Almighty; I will exalt you, I will praise your name; for you have done wonderful things, things planned long ago, in perfect faithfulness.”
Psalm 113:1-3, “Praise Yah. Praise him, you servants of Yahuwah; praise the name of Yahuwah. 2Blessed be the name of Yahuwah, both now and forevermore. 3From the rising of the sun to its setting, Yahuwah’s name should be praised.”
Psalm 99:3, “Let them praise your great and awesome name; he is set apart.”
Hebrews 13:15, “Through him, then, let us always offer up sacrifices of praise to Yahuwah, praise that is the fruit of lips that acknowledge his name.”
Call upon His name:
Isaiah 12:4, “On that day you will say, “Give thanks to Yahuwah and call upon his name; declare his deeds among the ethno-linguistic peoples, proclaim that his name is exalted.””
Joel 2:32, “It will be that everyone who calls on the name of Yahuwah will be saved. For on Mount Zion and in Jerusalem there will be those who escape, as Yahuwah has said, and among the survivors, those whom Yahuwah calls.”
Psalm 116:17, “I will offer to you the sacrifice of thanksgiving and will call on the name of Yahuwah.”
Give Thanks to His name:
Psalm 105:1, “Give thanks to Yahuwah, call on his name; make known his deeds among the ethno-linguistic nations.”
Psalm 92:1, “A psalm, a song for the Sabbath day. It is a good thing to give thanks to Yahuwah and to sing praises to your name, Most High.”
Love His name:
Isaiah 56:6, “Also ethno-linguistic nations who join themselves to Yahuwah, to serve him, and who love the name of Yahuwah, to worship him, every one who observes the Sabbath and who keeps from defiling it, and who holds fast my covenant.”
Psalm 69:36, “His servants’ descendants will inherit it; and those who love his name will live there.”
Psalm 5:11, “But may all those who take refuge in you rejoice; let them always shout for joy because you defend them; let them be joyful in you, those who love your name.”
Proclaim His name:
Isaiah 26:13, “Yahuwah our Almighty One, other masters besides you have ruled over us; but we acknowledge your name alone.”
Isaiah 12:4, “On that day you will say, “Give thanks to Yahuwah and call upon his name; declare his deeds among the ethno-linguistic peoples, proclaim that his name is exalted.”

Psalm 105:2, “Sing to him, sing praises to him; speak of all his marvelous deeds.”
Romans 9:17, “For the Scripture says to Pharaoh, “For this very purpose I raised you up, so that I might demonstrate my power in you, and so that my name might be proclaimed in all the earth.””
Trust In His name:
Psalm 112:7, “He does not fear bad news; he is confident, trusting in Yahuwah.”
Isaiah 26:4, “Trust in Yahuwah forever; for Yah, Yahuwah is an everlasting rock.”
Isaiah 50:10, “Who among you fears Yahuwah? Who obeys the voice of his servant? Who walks in deep darkness without light? He should trust in the name of Yahuwah and lean on his Almighty.”
Jeremiah 17:7, “But the person who trusts in Yahuwah is blessed, for Yahuwah is his reason for confidence.”
Why do all these things regarding Yahuwah’s name?
Because He is our Creator: Genesis 2:4, “These were the events concerning the heavens and the earth, when they were created, on the day that Yahuwah Almighty made the earth and the heavens.”
Because He is our personal Divine One: Exodus 6:3, “I appeared to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob as El Shaddai; but by my name, Yahuwah, I was not known to them.”
Because He is our Deliverer: Exodus 12:50-51, “So all the Israelites did exactly as Yahuwah had commanded Moses and Aaron. 51It came about that very day that Yahuwah brought Israel out of the land of Egypt by their armed groups.”
Because there is glory associated with His name: Exodus 33:18-19, “Moses said, “Please show me your glory.” 19Yahuwah said, “I will make all my goodness pass before you, and I will proclaim my name ‘Yahuwah’ before you. I will be gracious to whom I will be gracious, and I will show mercy on whom I will show mercy.””
Because Yahuwah’s set apartness is a standard for human set apartness: Leviticus 11:44, “For I am Yahuwah your Almighty. You are to keep yourselves set apart, therefore, and be set apart, because I am set apart. You must not defile yourselves with any kind of animal that moves about on the ground.”
Because He is jealous over us: Deuteronomy 4:24, “For Yahuwah your Divine One is a consuming fire, a jealous Mighty One.”
Because He is the Divine Warrior: Jdges 5:11, “Hear the voices of those who sing at the watering places. There they tell again of Yahuwah’s righteous deeds, and the righteous actions of his warriors in Israel. Then the people of Yahuwah went down to the city gates.”
Because He is Soveregin over everything and everyone: 1 Samuel 2:7, “Yahuwah makes some people poor and some rich. He humbles, but he also lifts up.”
Because His name is majestic: Psalm 8:1, “Yahuwah our Sovereign, how magnificent is your name in all the earth, you who reveal your glory in the heavens above.”
Because He is trustworthy: Psalm 33:21, “Our hearts rejoice in him, for we trust in his set-apart name.”
Because He is glorious: Psalm 102:15-18, “The ethno-linguistic nations will respect your name, Yahuwah, and all the kings of the earth will honor your glory. 16Yahuwah will rebuild Zion and will appear in his glory. 17At that time, he will respond to the prayer of the destitute; he will not reject their prayer. 18This will be written for the last generation, and a people not yet born will praise Yah.”
Because He is the Judge: Isaiah 30:27, “Look, the name of Yahuwah comes from a distant place, burning with his anger and in dense smoke. His lips are full of fury, and his tongue is like a devouring fire.”
This is just a sampling of His greatness and the greatness of His name.
