Matthew 24:37-39, “As the days of Noah were, so will be the coming of the Son of Man. 38For as in those days before The Flood, they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noah entered the ark, 39and they knew nothing, until The Flood came and took them all away, so will be the coming of the Son of Man.”
Today, we’re going to take just a brief look at some of Noah’s Flood narrative. I will share what I believe Yahuwah showed me concerning the biblical solar calendar, which Noah was using in his day. I’m not going to judge anyone’s calendar; I’m just going to share my observation/revelation/discovery. I built a line-by-line, day-by-day spreadsheet of Noah’s Flood. According to Daniel Gregg’s biblical chronology and my spreadsheet of the biblical chronology, Noah’s Flood occurred c. 3398 B.C.
The Scriptures do not tell us about the beginning of 3398 B.C. We do not have a copy of Noah’s journal, so we do not know if he wrote down notes about observing the Vernal Equinox in 3398 B.C. I believe he did, because he strictly follows his biblical solar calendar during the Flood experience. Noah begins with the day the rains began pouring onto earth: Genesis 7:10-13, “It came about that after the seven days, the waters of the flood came upon the earth. 11In the six hundredth year of Noah’s life, in the second month, on the twenty-seventh day of the month (per LXX), on the same day (Day 1 of the Flood story), all the fountains of the great deep burst open, and the floodgates of heaven were opened.12The rain began (Day 1) and fell on the earth for forty days and forty nights (through Day 40). 13On that very same day Noah and his sons, Shem, Ham, and Japheth, and Noah’s wife, and the three wives of his sons with them, entered into the ark.”
As you can see from my spreadsheet above, the Flood began on the 57th day of the solar year 3398 B.C. I use the Septuagint’s month and day numbers because the LXX was translated from a Hebrew manuscript of the Scriptures that was about 1,000 years older than any the Masoretes had in their day.
Please read the entire Noah’s Flood account in Genesis 6-8. Because now we’re going to skip down toward the end of the story, days 304 and 305. Day 304 just “happened” to be the 30th day of the 12th month, which occurred in 3398 B.C. It was day 360, or the LAST DAY OF THE BIBLICAL SOLAR YEAR, which occurred in 3397 B.C.
As you can see in the image above, Flood day 305 was the 1st day of the biblical solar year beginning in 3397 B.C. Genesis 8:13, “It came about in the six hundred and first year, on the first of the first month (Day 305), that the waters were dried up from off the earth. Noah removed the covering of the ark, looked out and saw that, behold, the surface of the ground was dry.” Do you see it? How did Noah know that it was the 1st day of the 1st month of the new biblical solar year in 3397 B.C.? Look at that phrase, “Noah removed the covering of the ark,” that was the first time in 305 days that Noah had access to direct sunlight in southeast Turkey, in the mountains of Ararat. He had been living in the dark, stifling, stinky ark for almost a year.
Noah could not observe the moon during the first 304 days of the Flood, so he could not have been using a lunar calendar. Throw that lunar calendar off your biblical tool list right now. Apparently, Noah had been daily counting off days on his perfect 360-day biblical solar calendar from the Vernal Equinox of 3398 B.C. Notice that now, on day 305 of the Flood, Noah had access to the sun-flooded deck of the Ark and could set up his sun dial apparatus and observe the Vernal Equinox to begin the new biblical solar year beginning in 3397 B.C., even while remaining inside the walls of the Ark; he now had direct sunlight pouring in on him and his sun dial! NOTICE that Noah COULD NOT observe a Vernal Equinox on day 304 of the Flood, the 360th day ending the year 3397 B.C., because the weatherproof roof was still on the Ark, and Noah was still in the dark. But Noah KNEW that since it was the end of the solar year, and there were no other humans left alive in the Northern Hemisphere to observe the Vernal Equinox for him, he HAD TO tear off the roof of the Ark, so he could get his sun dial equipment out into the open sunlight! How do we know that Noah observed the Vernal Equinox the NEXT DAY, day 305 of the Flood timeline? HE DATE STAMPED THAT DAY AS THE 1ST DAY OF THE 1ST MONTH OF THE NEW BIBLICAL SOLAR YEAR, his 601st year of life, circa 3397 B.C.!
When the Father revealed this to me while meditating on my spreadsheet and the Scriptures, I was dumbfounded. That new information just bounced around inside my spirit for awhile, so I could grasp what I now understand. The Enoch calendar and the Covenant Calendar show that the Vernal Equinox ENDS a year, but NOAH, RECORDED IN YAHUWAH’S WORD BY MOSES HIMSELF, REVEALS TO US THAT THE VERNAL EQUINOX BEGINS THE NEW YEAR! When you consider the scientist Noah writing accurate, detailed, scientific notes in his journal of the entire Flood story over the course of that year, there can be no other explanation. The Spring Equinox BEGINS the new year; it DOES NOT END the old year. I now believe I can align my life one day closer to the truth of Yahuwah’s biblical solar calendar.
Think about this. Noah had been observing the Vernal Equinox to begin his biblical solar calendar years for at least 580 years by the time of the Flood! I’ve only been using the biblical solar calendar for a couple years now, so next year, I’m going to begin the new year ON the day of the Vernal Equinox (the Tequfah, Strong’s # 8622), NOT the day after. I was not comfortable with beginning the new biblical year on the day after the Vernal Equinox, but I also wasn’t out trying to solve any calendar problem, or fix other peoples’ calendars. Every believer is free to follow whichever biblical calendar they feel is correct. I was just reading through Dr. Aardsma’s ebook, “Noah’s Flood Happened 3520 BC.” While viewing Flood days 304 and 305 of my spreadsheet, the Father just opened my spiritual eyes to the Vernal Equinox BEGINNING the new year in 3397 B.C. Thanks Noah! Thanks Dr. Aardsma! Thank you Father! Notice, I read Dr. Aardsma’s work, but I no longer agree with his biblical chronology for the Flood.
I believe one of the prophetic aspects of Noah’s Flood is that the earth will get knocked back into a perfect 360-day solar year by one of the many large asteroids that keep coming close to earth. We’re not just going to suffer from too many marriages or too many wild parties or too much ethnic violence, we’re going to suffer from earth-lag as the earth is struck or encounters a near miss by a large asteroid or planetoid. Soon my friends, very soon. We’re not just going to see a financial reset on this rock, we’re going to see the earth rock reset in its orbit around the sun. For 1,260 prophetic days to equal 3 ½ years, we must have a perfect 360-day biblical solar year. For us it seems like it will be a great solar system event, but for our Heavenly Father, it’s just a nudge.
Don’t forget to study the 1,290th day and the 1,335th day!
