Genesis 26:1-5; 12-14, “And a famine was in the land besides the famine in the days of Abraham. And Isaac went to Abimelech king of the Philistines, to Gerar. 2And Yahweh appeared to him and said, Do not go down into Egypt; but dwell in the land which I shall say to you. 3Stay in this land, and I will be with you and bless you, for to you and to your seed I will give all these lands. And I will cause to rise My oath which I swore to your father Abraham. 4And I will increase your seed like the stars of the heavens, and I will give to your seed all these lands. And all the nations of the earth shall bless themselves in your Seed, 5because Abraham listened to My voice and heeded My charge, My commandments, My statutes, and My Torah. . . .12And Isaac sowed in that land. And a hundredfold was found in that year, and Yahweh blessed him. 13And the man grew great, and he went on, going on to be great, until he became exceedingly great. 14And possessions of flocks and possessions of herds, and many slaves were his. And the Philistines envied him.”

This nugget involves obedience without regard to your circumstances! Notice Isaac was experiencing a famine in the land. Yahweh told him to stay in that land. Isaac obeyed Yahweh and planted his fields. Isaac received a hundredfold, or 10,000%, increase in his harvest during a famine year!! Yahweh rewards obedience. There is no replacement for obedience. There is no way around obedience. There are no shortcuts, only long cuts. There are no excuses for not obeying Yahweh, irregardless of your circumstances.
