THE LAST GENERATION
Let’s take another peak at the end from the beginning. Psalm 48:12-13, “Walk about Zion, and go all around her. Count her towers; 13mark well her bulwarks; consider her palaces; that you may tell it to the generation following.” Take a look at that phrase the generation following in your concordance and lexicons. The Hebrew word translated as following is Strong’s # 314, meaning last, specifically western. So verse 13 is specifically talking about the last western generation of mankind, which, as we know, includes the British (former) Commonwealth nations of Ephraim and America as Manasseh, as well as the tribes in Israel today known as Judah, Benjamin, and Levi. We also know Psalm 48 corresponds to the year 1948 CE. The first time in the Psalms that the phrase “the last western generation” appears is in Psalm 48. That is no coincidence. There are no coincidences in Yahweh’s Holy Word. Yeshua is going to return before this last western generation of Israelites (speaking all inclusively of all 12 tribes of Israel) dies off. Verse 14, “For this is Yahweh, our Mighty One forever and ever; He will be our guide even to death.” Do you get the connection? Yahweh will guide us by His Holy Spirit right to the end of this age, another word for generation.
I believe Yeshua had this Psalm 48:12-14 passage in mind when He spoke Matthew 24:34, “Assuredly, I say to you, this generation will by no means pass away till all these things take place.” In context, what generation was Yeshua talking about in verse 34? Look at verses 32-33, “Now learn this parable from the fig tree: When its branch has already become tender and puts forth leaves, you know that summer is near. 33So you also, when you see all these things, know that it is near—at the doors!” We know that modern Israel is the fig tree nation which began putting forth leaves in 1948. Leaves are not fruit. The fig trees in Israel also produce what is known as “pre-figs” around the time of Shavuot. The trees look like they are about to produce fruit, but they drop these pre-figs at the door of summer, Shavuot. Israel has not yet produced the spiritual fruit that Yahweh is looking for, which is for them to accept Yeshua as their Messiah and then proclaim His gospel of salvation to all the world. I would call Israel’s “pre-figs” rabbinical Judaism. Israel will soon drop that religious non-fruit and begin to worship and serve their true Messiah, Yeshua HaMashiach. Watch and pray for this event, for it is prophesied and will happen sometime during the final tribulation. The 144,000 virgin Messianic Israelites will be part of this last western generation of gospel prophets, preachers, and teachers. This remnant will soon be harvested into Yahweh’s Kingdom, to serve His purposes in these last days.
Continuing on this theme of the last generation, let’s look also at Psalm 90:10, “The days of our lives are seventy years; and if by reason of strength they are eighty years, yet their boast is only labor and sorrow; for it is soon cut off, and we fly away.” A whole book could be written on this one verse, but we won’t write that much today. I’ve heard many preachers use this verse to tell us as individuals to count our days, but this verse is not talking about an individual, but about the entire nation of Israel, all twelve tribes. Just a note, that phrase “we fly away” could be a reference to a rapture experience. We’ll just have to wait 70 or 80 years to find out, but 70 or 80 years from when? Many scholars and Scripture students believe a prophetic clock was started in 1948. I also believe that is a real possibility. Daniel 9 speaks of 70 Feasts of Weeks, or Feasts of Shavuot, or Feasts of Wheat Harvest. Daniel, or more accurately, the angel, was not speaking of 490 Feasts of Weeks, only 70, which occur sequentially over 70 calendar years, not 490 years. The clock could not have started in 1947, because U.N. Resolution 181 was not passed until November 29, 1947, many months after the Feast of Shavuot that year. So 1948 CE has to be year 1 of this count.
If we begin this prophetic count of seventy years from 1948, Daniel and the Psalmist’s 70th Feast of Weeks will occur in 2017 CE. Some prophetic teachers dismiss this year out of hand, because it’s not a Sabbatical year, or because they believe Yeshua should return in this 70th year. I believe they error, not knowing the Scriptures. Daniel 9:25, “Know therefore and understand, that from the going forth of the command to restore and build Jerusalem (spoken command on Nov. 29, 1947, UN Palestine Resolution 181) until Messiah the Prince, there shall be seven weeks and sixty-two weeks (69 years or Feasts of Weeks); the street shall be built again, and the wall, even in troublesome times.” We get to 69 Feasts of Weeks by adding the first 7 Weeks to the second period of 62 Weeks, thus we come to the 69th Feast of Weeks of Daniel 9. What year does this 69th Feast of Weeks occur? 2016 CE, during the Scripturally proven Sabbatical Year!!!! Have the Israelis not been building up Jerusalem since 1948? Yes, of course they have. Personally, I believe that Yeshua will return to earth, just as He left, during the seven week period known as the Feast of Weeks, or Shavuot. He ascended on the 40th day of the Feast in 30 CE. The two men, whom I believe were Moses and Elijah, told the disciples Yeshua would return just as He left.
Here’s the timeline as I see it could happen. This is just a proposed scenario, so don’t get all hung up on date setting. Yeshua returns to earth during the Feast of Weeks in 2016 CE. Yeshua destroys the nations of the earth by the brightness of His coming. Yeshua is crowned King of kings on the Feast of Trumpets, fall 2016 CE. This will be called His CORONATON DAY, when trumpets will be blown to announce Him to the world. Then, Yeshua judges and redeems His people Israel (all 12 tribes, not just the Tribe of Judah, the Jews) on Yom Kippur, 2016 CE. Then, Yeshua marries His Bride, the Church, on the first day of the Feast of Tabernacles and celebrates that wedding for the 7 days of Hebrew tradition. Then we come to the 70th year, or Feast of Weeks of Daniel. Daniel 9:24, “Seventy weeks (shabuwas) are determined for your people and for your holy city, to finish the transgression, to make an end of sins, to make reconciliation for iniquity, to bring in everlasting righteousness, to seal up vision and prophecy, and to anoint the Most Holy (Place).” I believe we will see Yeshua personally oversee the anointing, or dedication, of His Millennial Temple during the 70th Week of Daniel 9. This could happen during the 70th Feast of Weeks in 2017 CE. Would that not wrap up almost every prophecy in the Scriptures? Yes, it would.
Many dismiss this Feast of Weeks scenario out of hand, but Israel is the prophetic end-time clock and many baby-boomer Israelis are passing away. Many say Yeshua fulfilled all the Spring Feasts. Did He fulfill the Feast of Weeks? He did partially fulfill Passover through His sacrifice, but He looks forward to celebrating the Feast of Unleavened Bread with us in the future. He has not had a drop of wine since 30 CE! Yeshua is our sinless Unleavened Bread. On the day of His resurrection, Yeshua did take some resurrected saints up to the heavenly sanctuary and present them to the Father to fulfill the Feast of First Fruits. But Yeshua DID NOT fulfill the Feast of Weeks, because He ascended to heaven on the 40th day of the Omer count!! Yeshua DID NOT harvest the Church in 30 CE, He planted it! The two-loaf wave offering performed on the 50th day of the Feast of Weeks, on Shavuot, is made from LEAVENED BREAD!! The leavened bread of Shavuot represents the Church still filled with sin. Yeshua STARTED the harvest of souls on Pentecost, 30 CE, BUT HE DID NOT FINISH IT in 30 CE! Yeshua left during the middle of the harvest season and sent His Holy Spirit to continue the salvation and transformation work.
At Yeshua’s first coming, He began to finish transgression of His Law, but at His second coming, HE WILL FINISH TRANSGRESSION of His Law. At Yeshua’s first coming, He began to end sins, but at His second coming, HE WILL END SIN by slaying the wicked and giving us incorruptible immortal bodies! At Yeshua’s first coming, He reconciled us to Yahweh at the execution stake, but at His second coming, we get to stand face to face with our Heavenly Father, as pure showbread! At Yeshua’s first coming, Yeshua introduced us to His righteousness, but at His second coming, we will be made eternally righteous, as He is! At Yeshua’s first coming, He prophesied of a day that will fulfill Daniel’s visions and prophecy, but at His second coming, we will see vision and prophecy fulfilled and sealed for all eternity! At Yeshua’s first coming, He introduced us to the true Temple of Yahweh, and at His second coming, we will experience the anointing of our everlasting, incorruptible, immortal Temple!!
If Yeshua does not return in 2016 CE, then we will know that we have misunderstood His word of prophecy. Yeshua never said He was going to return during a Sabbatical Year, men say that. It would make sense for Him to return at the beginning of a Sabbatical Year, when He could announce a seventh year rest and a Jubilee Year!! Yom Kippur, 2015 CE, will begin the next Scripturally proven Sabbatical Year. Daniel’s 69th Feast of Weeks will occur at Shavuot, 2016 CE, during this next Sabbatical Year. Maranatha, come Master Yeshua!!
