THE SWORD OF THE SPIRIT
(All Scripture is taken from the Unlocked Literal Bible – Sacred Name Version, e-sword module created by Gene Benjamin II)
Ephesians 6:10-20, “finally, be strong in the Lord and in the strength of his might. 11 Put on the whole armor of Yahweh, so that you may be able to stand against the scheming plans of the devil. 12 For our struggle is not against flesh and blood. Instead, it is against the governments and spiritual authorities and rulers of the realm of evil darkness, against the evil spirits in heavenly places. 13 Therefore put on the whole armor of Yahweh, so that you may be able to stand in this time of evil, and after you have done everything, to stand firm. 14 Stand, therefore, after you have put on the belt of truth and the breastplate of righteousness. 15 Then as shoes for your feet, put on the readiness to proclaim the gospel of peace. 16 In all circumstances take up the shield of faith, by which you will be able to put out all the flaming arrows of the evil one. 17 And take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of Yahweh. 18 With every prayer and request, pray at all times in the Spirit. With this mind, always be watching with all perseverance, as you offer prayers for all Yahweh’s holy people. 19 And pray for me, that a message might be given to me when I open my mouth. Pray that I might make known with boldness the hidden truth about the gospel. 20 It is for the gospel that I am an ambassador who is kept in chains, so that I may declare it boldly, as I ought to speak.”
Your sword of the Spirit is perfect: Psalm 12:6, “The words of Yahweh are pure words, like silver purified in a furnace on the earth, refined seven times.”
Your sword of the Spirit is truth: John 17:17, “Set them apart by the truth. Your word is truth.”
Warning at the beginning of the Book, do not add to or subtract from the sword of the Spirit: Deuteronomy 4:2, “You will not add to the words that I command you, neither will you diminish them, so that you may keep the commandments of Yahweh your Almighty that I am about to command you.”
Warning in the middle of the Book, your sword of the Spirit is pure and inerrant: Proverbs 30:5-6, “Every word of the Almighty is tested; he is a shield to those who take refuge in him. 6 Do not add to his words, or he will discipline you, and you will be proved to be a liar.”
Warning at the end of the Book, your sword of the Spirit is prophetic: Revelation 22:18-19, “I testify to everyone who hears the words of the prophecy of this book: If anyone adds to them, Yahweh will add to him the plagues that are written about in this book. 19 If anyone takes away from the words of this book of prophecy, Yahweh will take away his share in the tree of life and in the holy city that are written about in this book.”
The perfect sword of the Spirit perfects us: 2 Timothy 3:16, “All scripture has been inspired by Yahweh. It is profitable for doctrine, for conviction, for correction, and for training in righteousness.”
Keep your sword of the Spirit in the sheath when it comes to private interpretation: 2 Peter 1:20, “Know this first, that no prophecy is about one’s own interpretation.”
The sword of the Spirit is final and authoritative in earth and heaven: Isaiah 1:2, “Hear, heavens, and give ear, earth; for Yahweh has spoken: “I have nourished and brought up children, but they have rebelled against me.” Psalm 119:89, “Yahweh, your word stands forever; your word is established firmly in heaven.”
We humans resist obedience to the sword of the Spirit: Romans 8:7, “This is because the mentality of the flesh is hostile toward Yahweh, for it is not subject to Yahweh’s Torah, nor is it able to be.”
The sword of the Spirit is always in effect: Romans 7:1, “Or do you not know, brothers (for I am speaking to people who know about Torah), that the Torah controls a person for as long as he lives?” You cannot get away from the law, not in the physical realm, not in the moral realm, not in the spiritual realm.
The sword of the Spirit created everything and maintains everything: Isaiah 40:26, “Look up at the sky! Who has created all these stars? He leads out their formations and calls them all by name. By the greatness of his might and by the strength of his power, not one is missing.” Nehemiah 9:6, “You are Yahweh. You alone. You have made heaven, the highest heavens, with all their host, and the earth and everything on it, and the seas and all that is in them. You give life to them all, and the host of heaven worship you.” Ecclesiastes 1:10, “Is there anything about which it may be said, ‘Look, this is new’? Whatever exists has already existed for a long time, during ages which came long before us.”
The sword of the Spirit will keep you from becoming a fool or worldly person: Romans 1:22, 25, “They claimed to be wise, but they became foolish. . . 25 It is they who exchanged the truth of Yahweh for a lie, and who worshiped and served the creation instead of the Creator, who is praised forever. Amen.”
The sword of the Spirit is scientific: Rom 8:20a, “For the creation was subjected to futility, not of its own will, but of him who subjected it.” Everything was created from nothing, but then subjected to futility for the purposes of the Gospel. Job 26:8, “He binds up the waters in his thick clouds, but the clouds are not torn under them.” Job 36:27-28, “For he draws up the drops of water that he distills as rain from his vapor, 28 which the clouds pour down and drop in abundance on mankind.” Jeremiah 33:22, “As the hosts of heaven cannot be counted, and as the sand of the seashores cannot be measured, it is like that I will increase the descendants of David my servant and the Levites who serve me.” Job 26:7, “He stretches out the northern skies over the empty space, and he hangs the earth over nothing.” Read Job 38. Isaiah 40:22, “He is the one who sits above the horizon (sphere) of the earth; and the inhabitants are like grasshoppers before him. He stretches out the heavens like a curtain and spreads them out as a tent to live in.” Job 22:14, “Thick clouds are a covering to him, so that he does not see us; he walks on the vault (sphere) of heaven.” Job 28:25, “He made the force (weight) of the wind and parceled out the waters by measure.” Leviticus 17:11, “For the life of an animal is in its blood. I have given its blood to you to make atonement on the altar for your lives, because it is the blood that makes atonement, for it is the blood that atones for the life.” Yeshua shed His blood and gave His life for our lives, make your life count.
The sword of the Spirit is here for you to study: 2 Timothy 2:15, “Do your best to present yourself to Yahweh as one approved, a worker who has no reason to be ashamed, who accurately teaches the word of truth.”
Keep your sword of the Spirit sharp: Hebrews 4:12, “For the word of Yahweh is living and active and sharper than any two-edged sword. It pierces even to the division of soul from spirit, and joints from marrow. It is able to know the heart’s thoughts and intentions.” How do you do that? By reading, meditating, praying, studying, and living your sword of the Spirit!!
