ANNOUNCEMENT
1 – I found the e-Sword module conversion program for converting PC e-Sword modules into Apple device compatible modules. Go to www.e-sword.net, click on the EXTRAS menu item. Scroll to the bottom of the page and click the download button for the Apple module conversion utility. The funny thing about it? Now mind you, I don’t know anything about modern Apple computing devices, but you have to run the Apple conversion utility on a PC, because it’s a .exe PC executable file, instead of an Apple executable, unless you have a PC emulator on your Apple device!?! I thought that was rather funny or unusual, because, if you only own Apple computers/devices, how are you going to convert PC modules to Apple modules with a PC only utility? I’ll have to talk to Rick Meyers about that one, when I stop belly laughing!! I did find an article on how to run Windows .exe files on a Mac for those interested: http://www.wikihow.com/Open-Exe-Files-on-Mac The Mac can use a program called WINE to run Windows PC .exe files. Rick you crack me up, really, an Apple conversion program that runs on a PC? Huh?
2 – I tried to download the Mac version of e-Sword, but it immediately takes you to the Apple app store, where I see Rick has to charge $9.99 for e-Sword, to meet an Apple agreement of some kind. Sorry, Apple owners!!
WHY WE DON’T MARKET OR SELL YESHUA AS A PRODUCT
The other day Marner showed me a picture that showed up on her Facebook feed. It showed several of the famous TV preacher/teacher/evangelists, etc. with their net worth. Most of these guys are worth tens of millions of dollars. One guy boasts of being a billionare. Heart breaking, gut wrenching. Seeing that picture almost made me puke. Yeshua said it was almost impossible for rich folks to get into heaven, but Yahweh can still save them. Then a couple nights later, we hear an end time prophecy teacher say he received a good revelation about the end times that all believers need to hear, but guess what, he couldn’t just tell you over the TV, you must buy his DVD set to get the revelation!! Are you kidding me? It was enough to make the old Bible prophets roll over in their graves. I’m glad I only get judged for my own sins. Anyway. . . . . here’s a few Scriptures that taught me not to charge money for ministry:
Yeshua’s command to the 12 Apostles as He sent them out: Matthew 10:8, “Heal the sick, raise the dead, cleanse the lepers, and cast out demons. Freely you have received, freely give.”
2 Corinthians 2:17, “For we are not like so many people who sell the word of Yahweh for profit. Instead, with purity of motives, we speak in Messiah, as we are sent from Yahweh, in the sight of Yahweh.”
1 Corinthians 9:18, “What then is my reward? That when I preach, I may offer the gospel without charge and so not take full use of my right in the gospel.”
Isaiah 55:1-5, “Come, everyone who is thirsty, come to the water, and you who have no money, come, buy and eat! Come, buy wine and milk without money and without cost. 2 Why do you weigh out silver for what is not bread, and why do you labor for what does not satisfy? Listen carefully to me and eat what is good, and delight yourselves in fatness. 3 Turn your ears and come to me! Listen, that you may live! I will make an everlasting covenant with you: my reliable, faithful love promised to David. 4 Look, I have placed him as a witness to the nations, as a leader and commander to the peoples. 5 Look, you will call to a nation that you did not know; and a nation that did not know you will run to you because of Yahweh your Divine One, the Holy One of Israel, who has glorified you.”
Early in Yeshua’s earthly ministry we find this scene: John 2:13-16, “Now the Passover of the Jews was near, and Yeshua went up to Jerusalem. 14 He found sellers of oxen and sheep and pigeons, and the money changers were sitting there. 15 So he made a whip of cords and drove all of them out from the temple, including both the sheep and the oxen. He scattered the coins of the money changers and overthrew their tables. 16 To the pigeon sellers he said, “Take these things away from here. Stop making the temple of my Father a marketplace.””
Then, towards the end of Yeshua’s earthly ministry: Matthew 21:12-13, “Then Yeshua entered the temple. He cast out all those who bought and sold in the temple, and turned over the tables of the money changers and the seats of those who sold doves. 13 He said to them, “It is written, ‘My temple will be called a house of prayer,’ but you make it a den of robbers.””
Philippians 1:17, “But the former proclaim Messiah out of selfish ambition, not sincerely. They think they will afflict me while I am in chains.”
